Wellbeing Team
In addition to the usual wellbeing needs of adolescents, the school has many students who require considerable additional support, including those who are:
- recently arrived immigrants and refugees with very low levels of English language skills, due to a scarcity of places in the nearby English language school
- on temporary protection visas
- living in out-of-home-care
- disabled (with and without funding)
- experiencing mental health issues
- identifying as LGBTQI+
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
With such a diverse population of students, the school has a large wellbeing team – including counsellors, allied health practitioners, interpreters, and integration aides.
It also participates in the Doctors in Secondary Schools program.
